When night frost threatens, we call you awake.
You miss a notification when you are asleep. That is why you get a call as soon as the wet-bulb temperature on your plot reaches the limit you have set. Then you can start irrigating or switch on your wind machines in time.
- Up to 5 numbers called at once
- Worldwide reachable
- You set the limit
Your blossom can freeze before it is below zero
Water evaporates in the crop. That takes heat, and the heat is drawn from the crop. As a result, a flower can freeze while the air temperature is still above zero.
The wet-bulb temperature shows how low the temperature can drop when water evaporates. That is why our frost alarm always runs on a wet-bulb temperature sensor. That way you are warned as early as possible.
From measurement to action
- 1
Measure
A wet-bulb sensor measures, on your own plot, the temperature that comes closest to that of your blossom.
- 2
Set the limit
You decide at which wet-bulb temperature you want an alarm.
- 3
Get called
When the limit is reached, you get a call. Up to 5 phone numbers at once, so someone always picks up.
- 4
Act
Switch on the irrigation or start your wind machines, in time and not too early.
Do you also want to switch your wind machines or irrigation on and off remotely, based on your own measurements? Ask about the options.
Choose how you get the frost alarm
Add the wet-bulb sensor to almost any station. For example the Pro or the Fruit.

What is the wet-bulb temperature?
The lowest temperature the air can reach when you let water evaporate into it until the air is saturated. In dry air the wet-bulb temperature is clearly lower than the ordinary air temperature.
Why does the frost alarm work on the wet-bulb temperature and not the air temperature?
The same process takes place in the crop: heat is drawn away by evaporation, so a flower can freeze before the air temperature drops below zero. With the wet-bulb temperature you are warned earlier.
Can I decide when I get called?
Yes. You set the wet-bulb temperature at which you want an alarm.
How many people can be called?
Up to 5 phone numbers at once. That way someone is always reachable to take action.
Does it also work outside the Netherlands?
Yes, the phone call works worldwide.
On which stations can I get the frost alarm?
Almost all stations can be extended with the wet-bulb sensor, including the frost alarm. We also have SoilSense Frost for an extra measuring point at a second location.
Can I also see whether my irrigation pump is running?
Yes, with Pump monitoring. A pressure sensor sees whether the pump is running. If it fails, you get an alarm and a phone call.
